On June 5, 2007, European Parliament's President, Hans-Gert Pöttering met in Warsaw's Nozyk Synagogue with representatives of the Jewish community in Poland. Present were, among others: CEO of the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland, head of the Union of Jewish Communities in Poland, and the Head Rabbi of Poland.
