Unknown perpetrators have damaged abort 100 tombstones on a Jewish cemetery at Zlota Str. in Czestochowa. The necropolis looks horrible; there are swastikas, Celtic crosses and “Jude Raus” slogans painted with black spray paint on the matzevot. It is possible that the profanation took place on Saturday night, however the Police does not exclude the possibility that it happened even earlier.

“We have visited the crime scene and documented the damage. A tracker dog was used too. The investigation led by our criminal section is under way; so far, unfortunately, with no results” informs officer Stanislawa Gruszczynska from the Czestochowa City Police Headquarters. 

The Police asked for help from the public. Anyone able to help identifying the perpetrators is welcome to contact the Police at 034 369 12 81, 997 or 112.
