On August 26, 2007, in Piotrkow Trybunalski, a ceremony took place to mark the fact of the rebuilding of the ohels of the Rabbis from Piotrkow, and to commemorate the prewar local Jewish Community. Rabi Israel Meir Lau - the Head Rabbi of Israel - honored the ceremony with his presence. The ceremony, organized by the Jewish Community in Lodz, was supported logistically by the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland.
