On 30th June 2005 a group of Jewish students from the US visited the Jozefow high school. The purpose of their travel across Europe was to visit the places where their ancestors had lived. The information gathered during this journey will be used to prepare an on-line data base of places connected with Jewish culture. In Jozefow the American group visited the Jewish cemetery, the synagogue and the place where the Józefów Jews were massacred by the Nazis during World War II. Józefów students, together with their English teacher, Mr. Eugeniusz Wojtowicz, served their visitors as interpreters and guides.
