It is our sad duty to report that four granite plates which once were covering the floor of the destroyed synagogue in Labiszyn were stolen from the local Jewish cemetery. The plates were to be used as part of the lapidarium commemorating the Jewish society of the town. Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland reported this act of crime to the authorities.
