On May 19, 2008, the ceremony of unveiling of a memorial tablet commemorating the Jewish community of Slawatycze (lubelskie province) took place at the local Jewish cemetery. The ceremony was organized by the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland, along with the Jewish Religious Community in Warsaw and the Slawatycze Landmanshaft.
In summer 2007 thanks to the efforts of the three partners a new cemetery gate was raised, and the cleanup works were carried out at the cemetery grounds.
