On May 14, 2008, a memorial table was unveiled in Chelmza in commemoration of the Jewish community of the town. The idea came from the teachers and students of the Middle School in Pluskowesy, members of the 'To Bring Memory Back' program, and support was provided by the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland and local authorities.
The ceremony was preceded by a presentation of the actions taken by the Middle School in Pluskowesy within the frames of the 'To Bring Memory Back' program. Then the guests visited the nearby town of Dzwierzno, where a monument commemorating the the victims of the Nazi forced labor camps for women in Bocien and Szrokopas, and the town of Grodno, where a monument stands in memory of the Jewish women, victims of the local branch of forced labor camp in Stutthof.
