On 15th and 16th of September 2005 four volunteers from the Foundation for European Agreement “Krzyżowa” (Fundacja dla Porozumienia Europejskiego “Krzyżowa”) from Poland, Czech and Germany visited the Foundation’s office in Warsaw. Young people got acquainted with the Foundation’s activities, visited the Warsaw synagogue and the Jewish Historical Institute, where they received detailed information concerning preservation of Jewish cemeteries. The “Krzyżowa” Foundation has started clean up works at two Jewish cemeteries in Silesia: in Kłodzko and in Świdnica. Beginning with September 19th the “Krzyżowa” Foundation will be cleaning up the cemeteries, preserve the tombstones, repair cemetery walls and prepare documentation concerning the cemeteries and the Jewish communities of Kłodzko and Świdnica.
