On July 10, 2008, a ceremony of unveiling of a memorial tablet commemorating the deportation of the Jews from Slupsk to the Auschwitz concentration camp took place in Slupsk at Deotymy 15a St. The building at Deotymy St., which today hosts a Middle School, was a Nazi transit camp for Jews during the war.

Participating in the ceremony was the representative of the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland.
