We regretfully inform you that Eva Bar-Ze'ev, President of the Organization of the Zamosc Jews in Israel, passed away in Tel-Aviv at the age of 60. She was buried there on June 19, 2008.

Eva Bar-Ze'ev (born Ewa Szper in 1948 in Bydgoszcz, Poland) originated from a Jewish family of Zamosc. In 1956 she migrated with parents to Israel where she established a landsmanschaft uniting Jews from the Zamosc region. Ms. Bar-Ze'ev actively supported the project of the Zamosc synagogue renovation.
