We are happy to announce the publication of a book "Leczna in the Light of the Shabbat Candles' by Maria Kieres-Kramek, published by 'Plama' Association of the Creators of Culture and Art in Leczna (lubelskie province). The book was published with financial support of the Town Office of Leczna and in cooperation with the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland. The book is a collection of stories about the prewar inhabitants of Leczna, written on a basis of the interviews with senior citizens of the town.
The cooperation for the publication of the book was started within the frames of the 'Research on the Attitude Towards Jews and Their Heritage. Cooperation with Local Partners in Selected 15 Towns. Education for Tolerance' program, supported by the Batory Foundation.
