We are happy to inform you that a photo contest 'On the Footsteps of the Jews of Medyka' organized by the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland and the Friends of Medyka Association was finally resolved. Over 60 pictures were sent in; first prize in the below 18 cathegory was awarded to Karol Wasyliszyn, 2nd grade student of the Middle School in Medyka. The first award in the 18+ cathegory went to both Mr. Andrzej Kaczmarczyk and Mr. Adam Popik. Mr. Mariusz Gumienny received the 2nd prize and Mr. Gerard Szczygiel - the 3rd. All awarded pictures will be soon presented at the POLIN - Polish Jews Heritage web portal www.polin.org.pl.
Ceremonial opening of the related photo exposition and award ceremony will take place on December 13, 2008, along with a movie show of the 'Alien VI' movie directed by Borys Lankosz. We cordially invite all parties interested!
