We are happy to inform you that on December 3 and 11,2008, library lessons for youth about the history of the synagogue in Niebylec (podkarpackie province) and the meaning of the unique polychromy paintings decorating its interior will take place in the former synagogue building in Niebylec which today hosts the Community Public Library. Lessons are carried out by the library workers, who underwent the training of the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland, which took place on October 28, 2008 and was led by Ph. D. Andrzej Trzcinski of the Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin. More such lessons will take place in 2009.
The action is being realized within the frames of the 'Research on the Attitude Towards Jews and Their Heritage. Cooperation with Local Partners in Selected 15 Towns. Education for Tolerance' program, supported by the Batory Foundation.
