On April 23, 2009, a meeting between Polish students from local schools - School Complex No. 1 and K.I. Galczynski High School - and the American students of Jewish origin participating in the March of the Living took place in Otwock. During the meeting, which was organized by the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland and the Bureau of Jewish Education from Los Angeles, the students will together carried out cleaning works at the local Jewish cemetery. Participating were over 200 students from Poland, USA and Israel.
