Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland issued a protest letter to the President of the City of Ostroleka, in connection with a supposed act of profanation of the local Jewish cemetery. As reported by the local press, human remains, probably those of the Jews buried at the local Jewish cemetery, were discovere during the roadworks on Korczaka St. Another letter was issued by the Head Rabbi of Poland, Michael Schudrich.
