September 1, 2009 r. is the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of World War II which brought nearly total annihilation of the Jewish community in Poland. In ghettoes and camps but also in the streets and country roads German Nazis and their collaborators murdered three millions of Polish Jews, many of whom are buried in mass tombs and unmarked graves. We also want to pay homage to those Polish Jews who died heroically fighting in the Polish army and allied forces on the fronts of World War II, to partisans and to Katyn victims. May their memory be blessed.
