linia 2006-01-03 Mszczonow (Amshinov)

Frosts have interrupted building the fence of the Jewish cemetery in Mszczonów. At this 18th century necropolis c. 100 matzevot have survived. Building works will be continued as soon as the weather conditions allow it. After the completion of the fence the whole area of the cemetery will be finally cleaned up. All the works, coordinated by the Foundation, are conducted thanks to the generosity of Ms. Renata Singer and rabbi Yosef Singer.
We hope that we will succeed to encourage the local community to take care of the cemetery. First of all, we would like to engage students from Mszczonów schools, whom we have just invited to participate in the Foundation’s educational programme “To Bring Memory Back” (more information about the programme are to be found at Education).
