Cleanup works are underway at the Jewish cemetery in Nowy Zmigrod, carried out by the Nowy Zmigrod Society in cooperation with the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland. The members of the Society carry up cleanup works on a regular basis - since December 2008 they have cleaned over half of the cemetery grounds. The Jewish cemetery in Nowy Zmigrod was established in the 18th century. There are about 500 matzevot preserved on its grounds, of them about 100 in good condition. The oldest matzeva dates back to 1742.
