The Foundation has received a grant for a project of saving a 19th century synagogue in Ziębice. The grant was awarded by the Dolnośląskie Voivodeship Authorities (Dolnośląski Urząd Marszałkowski). Restoration works will start in the spring. The project will be conducted in cooperation with the Town Council, Friends of Ziębice Society “Ducatus”, Foundation for European Agreement “Krzyżowa” and Ziębice Museum of Houskeeping.

The Ziębice synagogue is one of only two synagogues which survived in the area of Wałbrzych. It was built in 1845, in English neogothic style. Inside the synagogue there is a plague commemorating Julius Schottländer, who at the beginning of the 20h century was the wealthiest citizen of Wrocław, a local community leader and the founder of several charitable institutions.
