On April 9, 2010 (Nisan 25, according to Jewish calendar) hundreds of Jews from all around the world came to Nowy Sacz to honor Tzaddik David Halbesrtam, known widely as Divrei Chaim. His yahrzeit was the second large gathering of Chassidic Jews in Poland after the yahrzeit of Tzaddik Elimelech of Lezajsk.

The ceremony started by a prayer in the former synagogue building (now a museum), then the participants walked to the Jewish cemetery to pray at the Tzaddik's grave.

Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland was co-organizing the ceremony.
