We are happy to inform that on September 6th, 2010 at the Jewish cemetery in Okopowa St. in Warsaw a ceremony marking the completion of restoring a lane took place. A plaque commemorating the founders of the works: Maria and Kazimierz Brandys of blessed memory was also unveiled.

The works were conducted by the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in
Poland thanks to the generosity of Maria and Kazimierz Brandys, following whose decision the Foundation came into possession of the royalties to the writer’s books. Kazimierz Brandys died on March 11th, 2000 in Paris. According to their will the royalty income is assigned for preservation of Jewish heritage in Poland.
