Thanks to the intervention of the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland, the authorities of Ulanow removed the elements of anti-Semitic character from the sculpture decorating the main hall of the local Town Office. Their existence was reported to the Foundation by the citizens of Israel, descendants of the Jews of Ulanow, who visited the town in July 2010.
Before the World War II 40 % of the town’s population was Jewish.
