2011-05-13 REVITALIZATION OF THE SYNAGOGUE IN ZAMOSC
On May 13th, 2011 in Lublin the CEO of the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland received the "Conservation Laurel 2011" award for the restoration and conservation works on the synagogue in Zamosc.
The "Conservation Laurel" is a prize awarded by the Lubelskie Voivodeship Monuments Conservator in Lublin for outstanding conservation of historic buildings, characterized by appropriate and high quality execution as well as particular care to restore and preserve the historic value and significance of a monument. The award aims to honor and distinguish exemplary landlords and contractors performing conservation works.
The award has been given annually since 2000 for works carried out in the Lubelskie Voivodeship. The competition is held under the patronage of the General Monuments Conservator, the Lubelskie Voivode and the Marshall of the Lubelskie Voivodeship.
