A ceremony to commemorate the 63rd anniversary of The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising took place on 18th April 2006 in Warsaw. During the ceremony, wreaths were placed at The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, The Monument to the Ghetto Heroes and at the Jewish Cemetery on Okopowa Street. The anniversary ceremony was held by The Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland, The Jewish Community of Warsaw, The Social and Cultural Society of Jews in Poland, The Association of Jewish Fighters and Those Damaged in World War II in Poland, The Warsaw Jewish Theatre, The Association of "Children of the Holocaust" in Poland, The Shalom Foundation, The American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee and The Polish Union of Jewish Students.
