Between August 13-17, 2012, a group of volunteers from the USA carried out cleanup works on the Jewish cemetery in Zambrow. On August 14th ceremonial unveiling of a memorial plaque on the cemetery grounds took place. Cleanup is a first step in a cemetery renovation project, which will be continued in 2013, when a fence will be erected around the cemetery.
The project is being realized by the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland and the Matzevah Foundation. The monument was funded by the Matzevah Foundation and the Michael Traison Fund for Poland. » back
