On June 16, 2013 a ceremonial opening of the renovated synagogue building in Wielkie Oczy took place. The renovation works were carried out by the Town Hall of Wielkie Oczy, with meritorical support from the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland.
The synagogue in Wielkie Oczy was erected in 1910. Rebuilt in 1927 after the destruction caused by the World War I, it was converted into a warehouse and office building after the World War II. After the renovation it will host a public library.
