Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland is a meritorical partner of the “Knyszyn Connection” project, realized by Laura Silver of New York, USA, and funded by CEC Artslink. The project’s goal is to bring back memory of the Knyszyn’s Jewish community through cooking. In order to achieve that goal, a traditional Jewish local dish – knish – was made together by the Polish and Jewish participants during the Knyszyn Days on June 22-23, 2013.
Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland is active in Knyszyn since 2007 – Polish-Jewish youth meetings are taking place in the town regularly within the framework of the Haverim – Friends project. In 2012 Foundation took part in the commemoration of a mass grave at the local Jewish cemetery and in 2011 – marked the road to the Jewish cemetery in cooperation with the Town Office an Michael Traison Fund for Poland.
