In June 2013 cleanup works were carried out on the grounds of the old Jewish cemetery in Dukla. Within its framework the grass covering the historical necropolis was mowed.
There are two Jewish cemeteries in Dukla – the old one, established in the 18th century, and the new one, dating back to the 19th century. Both were devastated by Nazi Germans during the World War II. In near future a monument commemorating the Jews of Dukla will be unveiled on the cemetery grounds. The commemoration project is led by the Society for the Protection of the Heritage of Jews of Dukla Region – Shtetl Dukla in cooperation with the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland.
