Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland, together with the PJCRP, have begun to build a fence around the Jewish cemetery in Ivansk (Iwaniska) (currently swietokrzyskie, formerly tarnobrzeskie province).
The cemetery was established in the 19th century and was completely devastated during the World War II - only a few matzevot remained.
Until recently the cemetery had been desolated and overgrown with weeds, but thanks to the Foundation’s efforts will soon regain its proper appearance.
We're also happy to invite you to download and read an excerpt of the latest issue of the Ivansk Project e-Newsletter (May-June 2006), concerning the Ivansk Jewish cemetery restoration project.
