2015-03-06 PRZYSUCHA
The 18th century synagogue in Przysucha is a rare and precious survivor of Poland’s pre-War Jewish past. It is the only surviving synagogue in the town, and one of the largest baroque synagogues in Poland (65sq m). This magnificent structure, which has been undergoing renovations by our Foundation since 2008, has been nominated by us this year to the World Monument Watch List for 2016.
Launched in 1996, the World Monuments Watch calls international attention to cultural heritage around the globe that is at risk from the forces of nature and the impact of social, political, and economic change. » back |
