On the initiative of the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland crucial roof repairs were completed this weekend at the Scheinbach synagogue in Przemysl. During World War II the German Nazis used the synagogue as stables. After the war the building served as public library for many years. No major renovation works were implemented during that period. The synagogue was returned in 2006 to the Foundation.
Water damage was discovered during an inspection in 2014, and there was great concern about having this necessary work done before it got any worse. Thanks to all who supported this project.
