Between June 14 and June 24, 2006, a project "Do not be afraid to know me", organized in cooperation with the Foundation for the Preservation o f Jewish Heritage in Poland by the Opole OHP Association, took place in Opole. Young people from Lithuania, Czech, Germany and Poland, interested in the Jewish culture, participated in the project, which was conducted within the framework of the "Youths" Program.
Our Foundation was responsible for organizing a two-day-long stay in Wroclaw for the whole group. The participants had a chance to visit the landmarks of the Jewish culture and to see how does the Jewish Community in Wroclaw work. They visited the "White Stork Synagogue", the so called little synagogue and the Jewish cemetery in Slezna Street, where many famous Wroclaw Jews are buried. Young people also went to the Four Temples Quarter, to see neighboring temples of Judaism, Catholicism, Evangelic and Orthodox Churches.
