In April 2006 volunteers cooperating with the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland and participating in the "Volunteers at Service of Monuments" project, coordinated by the Krzyżowa Foundation for Mutual Understanding in Europe, have started the season of outdoor activities.
Since September 2005 the volunteers are taking care of the Jewish cemeteries in Klodzko and Swidnica, but they are also engaged in preserving other Jewish monuments of Lower Silesia (synagogues in Ziebice and Dzierzoniow, Jewish cemetery in Wroclaw). Special attention should be given to their activities undertaken together with the Commerce Museum in Swidnica, which led to exhibiting priceless 14th century matzevot (originally from the Swidnica Jewish cemetery).
