On May 14, 1948 (5th of Iyar 5708), Plonsk-born David Ben Gurion, leader of the Zionist movement in the land od Israel proclamed the Declaration of Independence of the Jewish state. On that day Israel became and independent state.

Jews all over the world celeberate the 4th day of Iyar (in 2018 - April 19) as Yom Ha’Atzmaut – the Independence Day. Military parades, concerts and firework displays take place in Israel. Our Foundation wishes everyone Happy Independence Day!
