linia 2021-07-26 The synagogue in Łęczna is made available again for the local community.

On 23-24 July 2021, for a first time ever Festival "In the Footsteps of Singer" was held in Łęczna. It was the 11th edition of this Festival, and  for the first time its team came to Łęczna. Last year, due to the circumstances of the pandemic, their activities were limited only to the internet. Due to cooperation by FODZ with the organizers of the Festival from Brama Grodzka as well as with: local authorities; Cultural Centre in Łęczna;  the Board of the Society of Friends of the Land of Łęczna, on the 23rd of July premises of the Synagogue in Łęczna were opened for the first time in many years to the public, as well as to performers and audience of a musical spectacle "Tales of the Night".  The events at the synagogue that took place on that day represented a tangible step in opening up cooperation between FODZ and the partners mentioned above, with the aim of restoring the synagogue's function as an institution for the promotion of culture and education.  We take this opportunity to express our gratitude to our partners: Mayor of Łęczna, Mr. Leszek Włodarski; Director of the Cultural Centre in Łęczna, Mr. Eugeniusz Misiewicz and the Director of the Festival, Mr. Witold Dąbrowski.
