At the beginning of November 2021, Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland (FODŻ) implemented, based on its own funds, a project to repair the fence of the Jewish cemetery located in Staszów, at Piłsudskiego Street. Significant support in the implementation of the project was provided by the local authorities, headed by the Mayor, Mr. Leszek Kopeć. The works were carried out by employees of the local Municipal and Housing Company. Activities leading to the improvement of the cemetery's safety were preceded in April 2021 by cleaning of the waste in its area, in which local volunteers, headed by Mr. Kazimierz Wawrylak, were involved. Significant help in the preservation of its area was also provided to FODŻ by: Mr. Leszek Tyboń and representatives of the Delegation in Sandomierz of the Provincial Office for the Preservation of Monuments: Mrs. Ewelina Kułaga and Mrs. Katarzyna Kijak-Dojka. We would like to thank all FODŻ partners for their support and help in improving the condition of this necropolis.
