Following the influx in recent days of a large group of refugees from Ukraine to Przemyśl, with a population of 60,000, the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland (FODŻ) offered the local authorities of this town the opportunity to use the building of the synagogue located at 15 Juliusza Słowackiego Street as an infrastructure facility to offer help to the most needy. In recent days, more than 60,000 refugees from Ukraine have arrived in Przemyśl, mostly women and children.
