2006-11-24 LUBLIN
On November 21-22, 2006, a 4th International Conference “Jews in Lublin. Jews in Lviv. Places – Memory – the Present Day” took place in Lublin. The conference was organized by Polish-Jewish Literature Department of the Lublin Catholic University and the „Grodzka Gate – NN Theatre” Center, in cooperation with the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. At the conference a representative of the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland presented a paper entitled „Jewish heritage protection as a factor stimulating local development”.
The conference was organized within the framework of the “Cooperation of Universities Supporting Development of the Lublin and Lviv Regions” program, conducted under the patronage of Poland’s Prime Minister, Mr. Jaroslaw Kaczynski, and the head of the Lublin authorities, Mr. Wojciech Zukowski. » back |
