We are pleased to inform that pictures showing the first stage of the roof renovation of the Ziebice synagogue (dolnoslaskie province) are now available.
Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland completed the works in December 2006. They were conducted thanks to the financial support of the province authorities, in cooperation with the Ziebice authorities and the "Ducatus" Ziebice Friends Society.
The synagogue in Ziebice was erected in 1845, in the English neo-gothical style. At the synagogue there is a plaque commemorating Julius Schottlaender, who at the beginning of the 20h century was the wealthiest citizen of Wroclaw, a local community leader and the founder of several charitable institutions.
