On 24th of June 2005 the matzevot that had been discovered in a park adjoining the Zielona Góra Jewish cemetery were excavated and deposited in the pre-funeral chapel on the cemetery. The tombstones will be now cleaned and catalogued, and afterwards they will return to the cemetery. All the works are conducted by the Foundation, together with the 9th team of the Związek Harcerstwa Rzeczypospolitej (The Republic’s Scout Union) in Zielona Góra. The action is supervised by the Province Monument Conservator, Ms. Barbara Bielinis-Kopeć.
