Between June 27-28, 2008, a ceremonial Shabbat service took take place in Piotrkow Trybunalski. The plan of the event included, apart from the traditional religious services, discussions and workshops concerning the common heritage of Poles and Jews, and the matter of Christian-Jewish dialogue.
The Shabbat was organized on the initiative of Michael Traison in cooperation with the town office of Piotrkow and  the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage.
