Between August 22-24, 2008, 6th Meetings of Cultures took place in Zamosc, organized by the Polish Ethnological Society. Within the frames of the event a lecture illustrated with music and dedicated to the history and culture of the Sephardic Jews who once inhabitated Zamosc were given in the local synagogue. The Jewish dance workshops took place at the Rynek Wielki.

Both lecture and workshops were organized by the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland in cooperation with the Society as one of the actions taken within the frames of the 'Research on the Attitude Towards Jews and Their Heritage. Cooperation with Local Partners in Selected 15 Towns. Education for Tolerance' program, supported by the Batory Foundation.
