Between 15th and 18th of September 2005 the 2nd Festival of Jewish Culture “Singer’s Warsaw” (II Festiwal Kultury Żydowskiej “Warszawa Singera”) took place. For a few days the Próżna St., the Grzybowski Sq., the Warsaw synagogue and the Jewish Theatre were crowded with people who wanted to recall the memory of the Jewish quarter of the pre-war Warsaw. During the Festival many performances were given, e.g. a show by the Teatr NN (NN Theatre) from Lublin. People could also participate in workshops of Jewish dances and songs, listen to concerts, view exhibitions and watch Yiddish movies shot in 1930s.
