On October 23, 2008, a memorial tablet commemorating the local Jewish community was ceremonially unveiled in Wasilkow (podlaskie province). The ceremony was organized by the authorities of Wasilkow, Nowodworce Admirers Society and the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland. Participating were, alongside the guests and the inhabitants of the town, the students of the Rev. W. Rabczynski Middle School in Wasilkow. The ceremony of commemoration of the Jewish community in Wasilkow was one of the actions realized within the frames of the 'Research on the Attitude Towards Jews and Their Heritage.
