Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland formally asked the Monument Conservator's Office in Rzeszow to intervene in a case of extensive development of the regional route No. 4. Due to the road works the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways decided to redirect the traffic in Lancut. In effect the heavy trucks pass in direct vicinity of the 18th century old synagogue, possibly damaging its structures. Foundation hopes that the local Monument Conservator's Office will take immediate action for the protection of the synagogue.
