We would like to inform you that the City Council of Slupsk decided to name the street adjacent to the local Jewish cemetery after Rabbi Ph. D. Max Joseph. It is the second place, along with the Rabbi Akiva Eger Square in Poznan, to be named after an eminent personage of Jewish religious life in prewar Poland. The cemetery in Slupsk is under care of the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland.
