Between February 19-20, 2009, a conference the celebrations of the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue in Poland took place in the Bristol Hotel in Warsaw. The aim of the conference was to present the course and immediate effects of the implementation of the task. The conferees were able to see the photographs and materials relating to the 13 leading projects carried out by the NCC in cooperation with the national Partners. Among the latter is the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland, which carried out a ‘Let’s Talk – European Debates About Values’ project last year. A significant element of this meeting were two discussion panels on diagnosing and creating of the dialogue attitude, speeches by the Ambassadors of the Year, presentations of possibilities for the co-funding of projects related to intercultural dialogue within the framework of EU’s community and international programmes, award ceremony ending the essay contest as well as the author’s evening during which recent publications related to the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue in Poland were be presented. Participating in the meeting were the representatives of the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland.
