At the beginning of April, 2009, the Jewish cemetery in Kalisz was desecrated by unknown vandals who have damaged or broken few dozens of matzevot. This act of destruction is another such event recently happening at the cemetery. Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland reported this crime to the authorities. » back |
