On July 5, 2009, the 12th annual 'Protecting the Memory' ceremony took place in Cracow. Its goal is to honour the Poles engaged in saving Jewish heritage in Poland. So far 120 people were honoured. The ceremony, enriched by a concert of American cantors, was co-organized by the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland.
