On August 19, 2009, the ceremony commemorating the 67th anniversary of the liquidation of the ghetto took place in Otwock. Within the framework of the event a monument was unveiled in place where the synagogue used to be, and a March of Memory and Prayer walked from nearby railway station to the memorial stone on Reymonta St. The ceremony was organized by the Social Committee in Memory of the Jews of Otwock and Karczew, Friends of Otwock Society, Otwock Culture Center, Polish Council of Poles and Jews and the Jewish Religious Community in Warsaw.
